New Weekly Post

I saw this on another blog and really liked it..so I stole the idea :)I will try and do a post like this every week.

It's the little things.

With all the busy, crazy and uncertain things going on in our lives right now It's important to remember the little things that keep us going everyday.

Like eating oranges with my 2 year old :)

It's a happy girl, even after getting shot in the face with milk from her bottle

It's having a great husband who is a great father.

Happy 7 months!

Happy 7 months baby girl!
I can not believe it has been 7 months since Macie joined our family. In some ways I can hardly believe 7 months have already come and gone but at the same time I feel like Macie has always been a part of our family. I can't imagine my life without her. She is a blessing in every way imaginable.
A little bit about Macie at this age:
*She reminds me of my Grandma Roe all the time. She has this habit of sticking her little tongue out ALL the time. It is so cute!

* She makes the same face whenever she tries a new food..whether she likes it or not

* She LOVES monster trucks and cars..sadly lol. I bought her some new girlie toys today and she luckily loves her new minnie mouse doll :)

* She loves her toes..and loves it even more when you play with her toes.
* She smiles all the time :)

and just because I love him so much and don't want to leave him out, here is my bug!

They may look alike but boy are they different!

Today I was leafing through my pictures on my computer and trying not to get too sad at the thought that my baby girl is already over a half a year old! Why do they have to grow up so fast?..and why can't being pregnant go by that fast? Macie will be 7 months old on the 18th of this month. I sat at thought for a few moments about Lucas at this age. He was a rolling machine and had been crawling for over a month. Macie not so much. She is capable of rolling and will roll once or twice to try and get something but she doesn't roll half way across the room like Lucas use to. She shows no interest in crawling either. She is nowhere near ready to crawl either and I am perfectly fine with that! She seems perfectly content being immobile and so is mommy. I do however wish she would sit up on her own. I believe she is capable but the girl loves her toes and always lunges for them!
At this age we started sleep training Lucas. He always slept really well but getting him to sleep was a battle and remained a battle till about a month ago! Macie on the other hand is fantastic!! She will sleep 12 hour stretches at night (trust me its a new thing) and will go to sleep with out making a peep..on occasion she will fuss for about 30 seconds but that's easy enough.
The kids sharing a room has actually done wonders for both children. Lucas will go to bed without screaming like he is being tortured and Macie no longer wakes for middle of the night feedings...I wish we had put them in there together sooner!

They may have very different personalities but i do think they look pretty similar.

Lucas and Macie both trying rice cereal for the first time around 4.5,5 months old

Lucas 4.5 months old

Macie 4ish months

Semi Failed :p

I was trying so hard to be better at this whole "blogging" thing but I let a month pass without posting again...I am trying though!

To start off with, my husband is AMAZING. I really am truly blessed to have him. He is such a hard worker and is a great example to our kids. About a week ago we packed out little family up and headed to Salt Lake. Colby had an interview at the University of Utah. With so few interview invites sent out, it was an accomplishment all in itself to get one. We should hear back later this week on whether or not he was accepted or not. Either way he will be going to a great school so we are blessed.
While in Salt Lake we were able to visit with a lot of family and had a really god time.

A bit late but this lovely girl is 22 now :)

We had a fun night playing games with Kelsey and her husband. We tend to do that a lot but I still enjoy it every time :) I am really going to miss her when we move! (even is she hits on my husband with medical pick up lines ;) )

Last but not least, Did you know yesterday was Dr. Seuss' birthday? I know most people probably don't celebrate it lol but when you work at a daycare you do! My class spent the week doing multiple Dr. Seuss activities and I enjoyed it so much! On one particular day we were learning about making new colors and were using paints...multiply this by 12 and you had my classroom :p
