The past few nights i have been laying in the hallway helping him fall asleep. If he gets of his bed I close his door for a minute. It has been working pretty well. The other night i was doing this as usual and I ended up falling asleep in the hallway. Colby called me around 11 and told me he was on his way home. After I hung up I walked into my bedroom and their was Lucas sitting on my bed watching cartoons. (he is now an expert netflix navigator) he saw me and immediately jumped off my bed walked to his room and was asleep with in minutes.
I decided I wanted to make him a birthday cake from scratch for his actual birthday (we ordered one for his party) I was proud of how it turned out so I decided to take a picture. I went to grab my camera and came back and he was standing on a kitchen chair with a giant spoon in his hand, going to town on the cake. He instantly got a huge grin on his face when he saw me and said "this cake is GOOD mommy"...he's just lucky it was his birthday cake ;)
I think we are in trouble when this boy gets older, he is too dang smart! He will hopefully be starting preschool very soon!
