So im trying to decide if i can tell similarities in Macie and Lucas by looking at there ultrasound pictures..What do you guys think? This is Lucas at 23 weeks This is Macie at 19 weeks.
I think it would come as no surprise to most people that my sister and I did not get along growing up. Being 13 months apart was always a bad thing for us growing up. There are many times that I have wished it would have gone the other way and we would have been super close. I am however a strong believer in everything happens for a reason. We are who we are now and our relationship probably plays a roll in that. I am so glad that we have become so close since graduating high school. It is amazing how different our relationship has changed. Growing up we fought a lot. We yelled at each other a lot and literally had nothing in common. She spent all her time with her group of friends and I spent my time with Colby. After she graduated she moved to Provo to attend BYU and we slowly talked a little to each other. This was the beginning of a much better relationship! By the time i graduated she and i were pretty good friends. She was my rock when planning my wedding and was honestly among the few who kept me sane. When she moved to NY to be a nanny we talked pretty often and when she moved back i was so happy to have her come to live with me. It was right before Lucas was born and I must admit having her here those first 6 weeks of his life was amazing..i still wonder what it will be like with Macie and not having her support here every day, but i guess we will see :) She has turned into such an amazing person and Lucas loves her so much! She is an amazing aunt and will be a great mom some day. I am so thankful for the relationship we share now. We spent many years literally hating each other but I am so glad we have evolved into such good friends :)
3 years! I can hardly believe it. Where has time gone?! Colby and I have been together for nearly 6 years now and 3 of those we have been married. It's hard to imagine life any other way. I have the perfect little family and am so excited to welcome one more into it soon. Colby is such an amazing husband and I truly am a lucky girl. He works hard to provide for his family and works hard to maintain good grades in school as well. I can hardly wait till the day he graduates pharmacy school and we can see each other a little more but I do know it has to be this way for now and it will all pay off someday :). Colby is also an amazing father. Lucas loves his daddy more than anything in the world and Colby is such a good role model for Lucas to look up to. He is patient, kind and funny and my boys have such a good time together. I know Colby will be an amazing dad to our Macie as well. I can see him willing to do anything for her as well. Including dressing up and having tea parties :) I could go on forever about my time with Colby but instead I will just show you pictures of our memories together instead :)
We met in high school and were pretty much together all the time. Most people think we are crazy but we were married June 28, 2008, just a little over a month after we graduated high school. We are both attending SUU. Colby will be graduating in spring of 2012 with a degree in Biology. After he completes that we will head off somewhere new to a Pharmacy Program and i am currently working towards a degree in Early Childhood Development.
Lucas joined our family October 2, 2009. He is a great addition to our family and we can't imagine life without him. He is a very happy little guy and always keeps us laughing!
Our newest addition, Macie, joined our family on August 18, 2011. She is a great blessing to our family and Lucas is such a good big brother to her.
We are blessed in so many ways!
