Last weekend my mother-in-law and mom threw me a baby shower. We had a brunch and it was delicious! My mother-in-law is always quite the chef though. She made quiche and although i have never had it before (and dont like eggs) it was really good. There were so many good kinds to choose from but the asparagus was definitely my favorite. My sister-in-law Lissa also made these pumpkin muffins and they were sooo good, not hard to say considering pumpkin is my favorite kind :)
Games were played but less then planned because of the mass of gifts i had to open. Who would have known that you could get tired of opening presents? Lucas will deff. have quite the little wardrobe and i received basically everything i needed and only had to buy one or two things myself, now thats what i call a gift hall!
There were a couple cute moments with niece Cambri, who turned 4 in April. There was a game where everyone was given a blue pacifier necklace and you werent allowed to say the word baby the entire shower. If someone caught you saying baby they would take your necklace and whoever had the most at the end of the shower won a prize. Well the shower was over my niece was walking around with this little doll and she went over to her Noni (my mother-in-law) and asked her whats this? So Noni responded a baby doll so Cambri then insisted on getting the necklaces because baby had been said, she continued to do this with a few other people and was so excited with all the necklaces she "won."
The shower also happened to be on the same day as a yardsale on my mother in laws street and since its a hard place to find signs had been put up so people could find the sale. I also had put blue balloons up to help people find my shower so when a man came to the door asking if this is where the yard sale was my niece was very adamit that this man could not be there because the baby shower was for girls only. Needless to say she gave everyone quite a few laughs.
Over all the shower was alot of fun and i am very grateful to my mom and mother-in-law for the wonderful shower they threw me!
